Private Rental Assistance Program Plus Worker (PRAP Plus)
Full Time - Max Term Contract (12 months)
Beyond Housing is seeking a Private Rental Assistance Program Plus (PRAP Plus) worker who will work with people who are experiencing difficulty in accessing and/or maintaining private rental housing, due to financial and social barriers. This position is being offered as a full time, 12 month max term contract, based in our Wangaratta office.

The PRAP Plus Worker will work to provide:
- An effective level of support to assist clients achieve outcomes that lead to successful, sustainable private rental tenancies
- Outreach intervention to clients whose tenancy is at risk
- Advocacy for resources, services or support
- Assistance in private rental applications and the reduction of rental arrears
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Well-developed communication, advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with relevant service providers and local real estate agencies
- Proven experience in a client focused role with the ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and meet the needs of complex clients.
- Understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (RTA)
- Excellent administrative skills including MS Office
- Well developed communication and time management skills
- A current driver’s licence
- Experience within the social, housing or community sectors will be highly regarded.
