Transitional Housing

The Transitional Housing Program provides secure, partially furnished short-medium term housing for people experiencing homelessness. During your time in transitional housing you will work with a support agency towards a long-term housing outcome that is right for you. The program assists you to understand your rights and responsibilities when renting a property so you can move on to a long-term tenancy.

If you currently live in a Transitional Housing Property

If you’re living in a Transitional Housing Property, the Property Manager’s role is to support your tenancy and manage the property. Things we do include:

Completing tenancy sign-up
Managing rental payments
Property maintenance and repairs
Furnishing the property
Providing a rental reference at the end of the tenancy if you apply for private rental
Explaining what is expected by the Residential Tenancies Act in relation to maintaining your property
