Our Story

Beyond Housing is a not for profit organisation providing people with a pathway to home. We are progressive and compassionate when we work with people experiencing homelessness and housing disadvantage.

We provide homes for renters who need them and the support they need to keep them. We are committed to preventing and ending homelessness, addressing housing affordability, and fostering housing stability.

What We Do

We are the largest community housing organisation within the Goulburn and Ovens Murray regions of Victoria. We own or manage over 900 properties including long-term community housing and transitional housing.

We are the main entry point for the homelessness system and provide a range of supports for people who are homeless or at risk. Each year we see around 6000 people and families in need of assistance to secure or maintain their housing.

We have over 70 skilled staff supporting offices in Wodonga, Wangaratta, Shepparton and Seymour. We also provide outreach to Wallan, Broadford, Kilmore, Alexandra, Yea, Myrtleford, Yarrawonga, Cobram and Benalla.

Beyond Housing is a registered Housing Association in Victoria and we have achieved accreditation for Human Services Standards. We are a ACNC registered charity and have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

Our History

Since forming as Rural Housing Network Limited in 1998, we have grown our services to provide more housing, support and advocacy for people at risk of homelessness and those in private rental experiencing housing stress.

We are the main entry point for the homelessness system. In 2017 we changed our trading name to Beyond Housing to better represent the work we currently do.
