Beyond Housing is seeking a Homelessness Network Coordinator (Goulburn Ovens Murray) to work collaboratively with the Local Area Service Networks (LASN) for the achievement of an integrated system providing support and accommodation to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the region. The role is to assist and support homelessness services to engage with various policy positions and to advocate, on behalf of the region, for adequate resourcing to end homelessness.

Beyond Housing is the auspice employer, however the position remains equally responsible to all homelessness funded services within the network. The position can be based in our Shepparton, Wangaratta or Wodonga office. This position requires regular travel across the service area.

This position is being offered as a Part Time, 30.4 hours per week (0.8FTE) on a 12 month maximum term contract.

The Role

The Homelessness Network Coordinator will work to provide:

  • Develop an informed regional voice on homelessness
  • Advocate for improved responses to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Build the capacity of the region’s service system

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in program delivery or homelessness services.
  • Highly developed communication, advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and perform strategically.
  • Demonstrated capacity to consult with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capacity to understand, interpret and provide high level critical analysis of policy.
  • Demonstrated capacity to collate and analyse data and prepare quality reports and information for stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate innovation and creativity.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, including prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent administrative skills including MS Office
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Experience within the social, housing or community sectors will be highly regarded.
