Education First Youth Foyers support young people to achieve their education goals when they are unable to live at home or don’t have a stable place to live. Young people have safe, secure accommodation while they study, as well as receiving the support and skills they need to become independent adults.
Youth Foyers are a partnership with youth support organisations and education providers. We have one successful youth foyer already operating in Shepparton and are working to expand this to other regions where young people are at risk of homelessness and disengagement with education.
Who can live at the youth foyer?
You are eligible for the Education First Youth Foyer if you are:
- Aged 16 to 24 years old
- Unable to live at home or do not have a stable place to live
- Keen to get into education and training
- Willing to commit to staying in education and/or training.
