BeyondHousing is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Ruscoe as the new Chair of its Board of Directors and Skye Roberts as Deputy Chair.

These appointments follow Ann Telford’s decision to step down as Chair at the Board’s June meeting, although she will continue to serve as a Board Director.

In accepting the role, Ben thanked Ann for her contribution.

“Ann’s leadership, governance and risk management skills, coupled with her unwavering commitment to our vision, have set a high standard. It’s an honour to follow in her footsteps.”

As an Executive Manager with the Commonwealth Bank and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Ben has over 15 years of agribusiness and finance experience and is highly skilled in relationship management, analysis, and risk management.

As Chair, he will provide strategic leadership to BeyondHousing, steering the organisation towards ending homelessness by providing safe and secure housing options for those in need. He will also continue as a member of the Capital Projects Committee and lend his valuable insights to the Finance & Audit Committee.

“I am honoured to take on the Chair role at BeyondHousing, an organisation that does truly meaningful work in addressing homelessness,” Ben said.

“My focus will be to ensure we continue to expand our reach and impact and to foster strong relationships with our partners and the communities we serve. I am committed to bringing my years of experience in corporate governance, agribusiness, and finance to the table and working collaboratively with the Board and our dedicated staff to drive the strategic direction of BeyondHousing.”

Skye Roberts, alongside her role as Deputy Chair, will maintain her pivotal position as BeyondHousing’s Company Secretary and Chair of the Risk and Governance Committee. She is currently Head of Legal at Zepto, a financial infrastructure payments business, and brings valuable legal and governance insights.

Upon her appointment, Skye said, “I am looking forward to the opportunities my role as Deputy Chair will bring to support our team to deliver on our vision of preventing and solving homelessness

The BeyondHousing Board of Directors is confident that with Ben Ruscoe as Chair and Skye Roberts as Deputy Chair, the organisation will continue to make strides in addressing homelessness and housing insecurity across the Goulburn and Ovens Murray regions of Victoria.
