Beyond Housing is seeking an experienced and motivated Strategic Project Manager to drive the planning, development and delivery of housing projects that create meaningful social impact.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role plays a key part in identifying new development opportunities, managing project feasibility and due diligence, securing funding outcomes, and supporting the successful delivery of housing projects from concept through to handover.
As Strategic Project Manager, you will work closely with internal teams, local government, funding bodies, consultants, community and stakeholders to deliver projects that support Beyond Housing’s mission and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and pursuing new housing development opportunities.
- Managing land acquisition processes, feasibility assessments and due diligence activities.
- Developing business cases, project proposals and funding submissions.
- Coordinating project planning and ensuring projects align with funding requirements and organisational objectives.
- Monitoring project budgets, risks, timelines and reporting requirements.
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across government, funding bodies, community and stakeholders.
- Supporting the development of policies, procedures and systems that enhance project delivery and minimise risk.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Strategic Project Manager who has the following:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in project management, strategic asset management, architecture or building and construction
- Experience delivering both small and large scale projects
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient IT skills
- Demonstrated experience developing and monitoring project budgets
- The capacity to assess and report on risks and emerging issues
- Ability to understand, interpret and apply relevant legislation
- A current drivers licence.
