The construction of four 2- and 3- bedroom homes in Wodonga which meet an 8-star energy rating is a first for any social housing property in our region.
Two of the properties were specifically allocated to Victim-survivors of family violence.
It is our goal address energy poverty, ensure equity of access to renewable energy for community housing renters and to provide homes that are not only affordable to rent, but are affordable to live in. One of the important ways we can do this is by reducing energy costs. The funding we have received from the Victorian Government’s Victorian Property Fund has allowed us to build properties that significantly reduce energy bills for our tenants.
